How to build a charm set that works
- Start with an anchor. One larger charm, such as a plush pal or mini pouch, sets the mood. Everything else supports it.
- Add contrast in texture. Pair something soft (pom-pom, tassel) with something shiny (star, enamel heart) so the set has depth.
- Keep to three colour families. Repeat one colour on a second charm and the whole set reads as chosen, not collected.
- Respect the bag. Minis carry one statement charm. Totes and backpacks can take four or five if they vary in length.
- Match your hardware. Gold or silver on the clasps should echo the bag's zips and rings.
