What the gap list checks
Every flag comes with the reason it was raised and a next step, so you can see exactly which entry caused it.
- No backup ownerFlags a system whose backup owner is empty, or is the same person as the owner.
- Owner who is leavingMatches each owner name to your leavers. Spelling has to match, so the name suggestions help. Backup and approver are checked the same way.
- Renewal inside 30 daysCounts the days from your check date. A date that has already passed is flagged as passed.
- Backup never tested, or too oldLooks for a dated restore test for each system and compares the newest one with the interval you choose. A failed or partial result is flagged too.
- Single contact for escalationNeeds at least two named people. One name, or none, is flagged, and so is a contact who is leaving or away.
- Overlaps in the datesOwner and backup away together, and a leaver who goes before the person taking over arrives.
Places, not secrets
The register asks where recovery details are kept, never what they are. If a field looks like a password, a code, a key or a recovery phrase, it is held with a message, nothing in it is saved, and printing and downloads wait until it is reworded. Names, dates and descriptions are all it needs.

Questions
Does the register store anything online?
No. Everything you type stays in this browser on this device and the page sends nothing to a server. Use Clear everything to remove it.
What is the check date for?
Renewals and restore-test ages are counted from it. Use today's date, or set 1 Dec 2026 to read the register as the holiday weeks begin.
Why was one of my fields held?
The text looked like a password, a code, a key or a recovery phrase. Describe where it is kept instead, for example shared vault, folder Website, ask Ines.
Can I print on Letter paper?
Yes. Choose A4 or Letter before printing. The pack has the gap list, systems, actions, test log and escalation sheet, and the register table repeats its header on every page.
