How the times are worked out

    • Each place on its own clockOffsets come from the time zone rules on your device for the date you choose, so summer time in Sydney or Auckland is counted and London’s winter time is too.
    • Hours that cross midnightA night owl can be free from 20:00 to 02:00. The tool follows that window past midnight and tells you which day each person is on.
    • The whole call has to fitEvery minute of the call must sit inside each person’s hours and clear of the time you chose to avoid. Starts are ranked by how much spare room the tightest person has.

Free. Worked out on your own device.

    Notes for the holiday dates

    • 24 to 26 December: Auckland and Sydney reach each date many hours before London and Toronto, so a Christmas Day call is often Boxing Day morning for them.
    • 31 December to 1 January: Midnight arrives in Auckland thirteen hours before London. Plan one early call for everyone and a later one for people who share a region.
    • Half-hour and 45-minute places: Mumbai, Adelaide and Kathmandu sit on offsets that are not whole hours. Starts are checked in 15-minute steps so they line up.

    Questions

    Does it handle daylight saving?

Yes. Every offset is worked out for the exact date you choose, so Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland are on summer time in December while London and Toronto are on winter time.

What if someone’s hours cross midnight?

Enter the earliest time as the later one and the latest time as the earlier one, for example 20:00 to 02:00. The tool treats it as one continuous window.

Which day does the date mean?

It is the calendar day in the first place you add. Anyone who is already on the next day, or still on the day before, is marked on every result.

    Is anything sent anywhere?

No. The times are worked out on this device from the time zone rules it already has. Names you type stay on this page.

What if no time works for everyone?

You see the closest try, with how many minutes each person would stretch. You can then widen someone’s hours, shorten the call or pick another day.
