Year-end stock count sheets, ready to print

Enter your items or import a CSV, print blank count sheets for each shelf or room, then type in the counts to see what is off, what needs a recount and what it adds up to.

Free. Your list stays in this browser.

  • Count day: 31 December 2026
  • Recount days: 1 to 3 January 2027

These choices shape the printed sheets and the tolerance check.

Variance tolerance

Shown on unit costs and value differences.

Blank lines at the end of each location for stock found that is not on the list.

Add your items

Type rows or import a CSV. Counts can go in now, or after the sheets come back from the floor.

Free. Sheets are made on your device and nothing is sent.

    Check your counts

Type counts in the list above and this fills in as you go.

No counts yet. Enter a number in the Count column to see variances, recounts and totals. A blank count means not counted yet; type 0 when the shelf is empty.

How a year-end count runs with these sheets

    1. List the stock. Type it in, or import the export from your stock system with expected quantities and unit costs.
    2. Print and count blind. One sheet set per location, expected quantities hidden, so the person counting writes what is there.
    3. Enter counts, then recount. Lines outside your tolerance are flagged. Print a recount sheet for just those and enter the second count on 1 to 3 January.

Free. Print as many sheets as you need.

What the report does with your numbers

    • Equal to the tolerance is fine. With a tolerance of 2 units, a variance of 2 is inside and 3 needs a recount.
    • Blank is not zero.A blank count is left out until someone counts it. Type 0 for an empty shelf.
    • The recount replaces the count. Both numbers stay on screen, but only the recount feeds the variance and the totals.
    • Zero or negative expected. With 0 expected, any stock found is a surplus and percent does not apply. A negative expected quantity is flagged so you can check it; percent is measured against its absolute size.
    • Duplicate SKUs are flagged. The same SKU twice in one location gets a warning and both rows stay in the totals. The same SKU in two locations is allowed and noted on each row.
    • Values are units times cost. Each value line is the variance multiplied by the unit cost you typed, rounded to the cent. Rows without a cost are left out of the value lines and counted separately.

    Questions

Does my stock list leave my device?

No. The sheets and the report are worked out in your browser. Your list is kept only if you tick the save box, and then it is stored as plain text in this browser.

When is a variance inside the tolerance?

When it is no bigger than the tolerance you set, in units or in percent of the expected quantity. A variance exactly equal to the tolerance counts as inside.

What is the difference between a blank count and a zero?

A blank count means the item has not been counted yet, so it stays out of the totals. A 0 means you counted the shelf and found none, so the full expected quantity shows as a shortfall.

    How does a recount work?

Type the second count in the Recount column. It replaces the first count in the report, and the first count stays visible beside it so you can see what changed.

Which CSV columns can I import?

SKU, item, location, expected, count, recount and unit cost. Headers are matched by name; without a header the columns are read in that order. Quoted fields with commas, semicolon files and tab files all work, and you see a preview before anything is added.

How many items can one count hold?

Up to 2,000 rows. Each A4 sheet holds 24 lines and each US Letter sheet holds 22, with every location starting on its own sheet.
